OSIP Imagery and Elevation files can be very large. Special accomodations need to be made in order to successfully download and extract many of these files. Please pay careful attention to the errors listed below before attempting to access these files. You can proceed to the download site by following the link at the bottom of this page.

----DOWNLOAD ERROR NOTICE----

HTTP downloads using some web browsers may be limited to ~ 2-3GB
If you receive an error notice like: "Cannot display the webpage" or The HTTP header is invalid" you may consider trying another Web Browser. This limitation may not be obvious as some browser versions attempt to download the file and may appear to download up to about 3GB of data without an error message when in fact only part of the file downloads. The resulting download may show a 1KB files size.
These limitations have not been reported by users of:

FIREFOX

OPERA

SAFARI

----ARCHIVE ERROR NOTICE----

Older file compression utilities including the compression application packaged with some operating systems may not recognize large archives creating using 64 bit compression methods. Attempting to open archives over 3GB may result in an error message stating the archive is corrupt. That is not correct.

Large archives may be opened using other ZIP utilities like:

7-ZIP

JustZIPit

WINZIP

ALZip
